Debt Ceiling and Price of Gold

An oft reproduced graph but if a picture paints a thousand words this is it when combined with the wise words of the four most expensive words in investing…”Its different this time”.  Look what happened in 2011 when last we had this kind of posturing and debate over raising the limit.  Look at how the price of gold has followed this unsustainable accumulation of US Debt until this last year.  Is it really different this time?  Will gold really not revert to what it’s done in the past?
