Selling Bitcoin

Ainslie provides a simple way to sell your Bitcoin, Ether and Litecoin for cash, bank transfer, or bullion.

Just remember too that buying bullion with your Bitcoin, Ether and Litecoin is spending it, not selling it.  Spending it means you don’t realise any capital gain event (limits may apply, refer to your accountant). The process is as simple as a phone call, email or coming into our store.

If you are coming in to our store you will need to bring your Bitcoin, Ether and Litecoin wallet and a current photo ID to get into our secure premises.  For sales of more than $5000 we will need to keep a record of this ID showing both your name and date or birth and/or address for AUSTRAC purposes.

We will require you to pay sufficient Bitcoin, Ether and Litecoin transaction fees to ensure 30 minutes confirmation and we will require 6 confirmations before release funds or metal.

We offer $10 parking under the building for up to an hour, allowing you to have a walk around town, enjoy a coffee or a bite to eat whilst waiting for the confirmations.

If you wish to sell via a phone call or email, simply ring us between 9am and 4pm weekdays on 1800 819 474 or email your request to info@ainsliebullion.com.au with SELL BTC or ETH or LTC as the subject line.  Any emails outside of business hours will be attended to and priced at 9am on the next business day.

We will ask, or you will provide in the email, your name, email address and bank account details if wanting a bank transfer of your funds.  We will come back to you with the AUD amount for the amount of BTC / ETH / LTC you wish to sell.  If you agree we will send you our Bitcoin, Ether or Litecoin address and QR code and your commitment is to make the transfer straight away with the same requirements as above with regard to fees and confirmations.

If the amount is over $5000 you will need to send us a certified copy of your drivers licence or similar.  A guide for this can be found by clicking here

Please note there is a $2,000 minimum transaction with Ainslie, and $5,000 for storage accounts.
